I’m a self confessed Northern Soul fanatic, I have loved this music since the age of twelve. Collecting records over the decades to DJ at Northern Soul clubs all over the North West. Ihave also DJ’d at some top allnighters in Manchester, Blackburn, Valencia [Spain] and not forgettingmy home town Stockport. To get the chance to sing these wonderful songs, that never got any recognition first time round for the original artist was an offer that I couldn’t turn down.
I had never been involved with a band previous to The Casino Allstars so this has been quite a trip over the short time we have been together. Just like the music grabs you, and the uplift I used to get whilst playing or dancing to these records over the years I put my heart and soul into all the songs we perform as do all the band. The buzz I get from getting out with the band is truley incredible as we work together so well.
I will always be grateful to my DJ partner for many years Brian[TBAG]Walker for talking me into joining his band on that cold November night, in the cellar of The Bakers Vaults in Stockport. Two years on and the ride never stops, I hope you all get the chance to come and see The Casino Allstars enjoy our performances.
