What a weekend

Friday

The Palace Northern Soul Night

dance away time

It all started on Friday night at The Palace Soul Club with Brian Walker and me spinning the tunes at our latest venue. As first nights go I don’t see how it could have gone any better  with it being held at a time when lots of people were away on their hol’s and also we coincided with the Isle of Man Scooter weekend and The Twisted Wheel soul night. Our regulars did turn up and the records flowed with the dance floor busy for most of the evening. We have now got to sit down with proprietors Keith and Liz and work out some future dates on a routine that works with Dave Stubbs and Co’s soul night  at The Rat Pit, more to come on The Palace.

Saturday

The Rock House Northern Soul Day

Time for Fat's Domino " It keeps raining"

Well the weather let us down a little with flash showers dampening Gary and Mandy’s hard work with setting up Gazebos and food tents etc, but we finally go going and the crowd appreciated the music that me and Brian played for them, When the sun shone it was lovely and the covers came off the dance floor and away the crowd went dancing and enjoying them selves on the run up to the nights main feature as The Casino Allstars took to the stage with a bang. The Place was buzzing by then and dance floor packed creating an amazing atmosphere for all in the room. This is a fantastic venue and we will be back on New Years eve with tickets available at £12 including a nice spread, champers etc, all info will be on our site soon but if you can’t wait  check out the Rock House link on this site and get in touch with Gary direct.

Sunday

The Railway Woodley

The Casino Allstars made their debut this weekend  in Woodley at this cosy venue, with hosts John and Michele embracing the entire crowd with a warm welcome. We just about squeezed in the far corner and gave them a performance to be remembered for years to come.

Drumbags getting everything just right

The locals took to the band and with a mix of our fans including Gary Cope [Mr Wigan himself] the cheers rang out long after we had finished our two sets. Everyone had a ball and it was a fitting end to the busy weekend for The Casino Allstars.
