This place just gets better and better each time we return, as the audience get bigger and louder every time we play. The room gets packed with Soulies and Mods alike who love what we do and what we stand for, so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to see the band locally.

The night starts at 8pm with soul music playing before, inbetween and after our two sets. entry is free and the beer prices are to die for so get on down.39

Mike, Vern and Kitch our number one fan

All the band enjoyed another success with Tony on the drums, he certainly packs a punch. John the landlord was at his best along with his staff on this wet Friday night. The crowd still turned out and although not a complete Northern Soul crowd they appreciated our show as they are used to quality bands here in Clifton. Another booking was made on the night for our return in August so watch this space for more information.

Good to also have the professional services of Vernon again as he worked the desk like the true pro he is. The band would like to thank the crowd on the night for their support which means everything to The Casino Allstars.

It was a super night with Rick DJing along side the band. Most of the soul crowd had not seen the band since we played at The Twisted Wheel and were very pleased with what we played and how we sounded. Our sound man on the night Vernon who had made his way back from watching West Brom play football, did a wonderful job for us which made it even better. Then we had Blaikie making his debut on the drums and he was awsome to say the least, so all in all it was such a good night.

Six new gig dates for you to take note of, not bad since our ex drummer walked out on the band leaving us with very little time to get another replacement in time for our next gigs etc. Tony has come in and done marvellous in such a short time,  not just learning the sets but to out shine the last drummer by a country mile. I’m sure you will agree when you here him over the next few weeks.

It will be our debut here and all the band are looking forward to getting down and having a good time, Northern Soul music will be played before, between and after the bands two sets. Very nice surrounds and great staff await you when you enter this very special night spot.

The night starts at 9pm going on to 4am with the disco, and our first set will be around 10.30 ish.

ON THE EDGE SOUL NIGHTSTo all the Soul Crowd who came down and witnessed a fantastic first night at The Festival Hall, Alderley Edge.Can I say as for first nights go, our soul night at The Festival Hall could not have gone any better, it was a minimum payment on the door of just two pounds but not many paid two pounds such is the kindness of the soul crowd.

We took on the door £636:56 and a further cheque for £100 from Georgie Porgies Day Nursery taking the total to £736.56 all going to Francis House Children’s Hospice who will be thrilled to bits.We also would like to thank the DJ’s who gave up their time for free to spin the tunes on the night, Ian Wills, Keith Williams, Casper, Grant Rankin, Les Hare & Brian Walker along with Steve Connolly and myself Paul Kidd we kept the dance floor full all evening long for a crowd that was up for a good dance. Plenty of pictures taken by Sandra, Steve & Angie to share over the next day or two.Our next night will be on the 9th of June 2012, DJ’s to be confirmed over the next couple of weeks, I’m sure you will all be back for this one.

TONY BLAIKIE

Played semi pro for about 20 years, worked the clubs backing acts and bands.

Working with  Dusty Springfield’s keyboard player. 

Played in the 60s band Heartbeat for 3 years. Worked with pro vocal coach
who was vocal coach for Take That and Robbie Williams.
 
Can play any style and also featured in the 1990s in the Stockport band Fine Soft Day who toured 
places like the Rock Garden on London and also backed top bands in large Manchester festival  open air concerts.
